Some notes about cost (see pricing below):

We travel with small groups, usually 6 to 10 clients. Others, even top line companies, have groups of 18 to 26 or more people. Group size has the largest impact on trip cost. We offer several price points depending on group size.

We take care of all the tipping during the trip. You don't have to worry about when, whom or how much to tip.

We personally lead each trip, so you can count on us to take care of the daily details and solve any problems that may arise.

The ground cost for this trip per person (based upon double occupancy and not including international airfare) is $9675 per person if 8 people take the trip and $10,195 per person if there are fewer than 8 participants (not including Don and Gail). The single supplement is $1250.

We will need your deposit of $2500 per person when you register for the trip. The final payment will be due November 21, 2013.

The trip price includes 5-star, or the best available, hotels, the cruise, breakfast, most lunches and dinners, internal flights, ground transportation, guides, admissions, transfers, and tips. Not included are international air fare between the U.S. and Egypt/Jordan, alcoholic beverages, excess baggage charges, independent airport transfers, incidentals (such as internet access, laundry, phone and fax calls), passport and visa fees, and medical expenses. Internal flights will be coach class. We will have our own private guides and busses or vans exclusively for our group.

Visas

Egypt and Jordan require a visa for U.S. citizens. We encourage you to get your visas well in advance of our trip and will send you information on obtaining visas once you have registered for the trip. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after you leave Jordan.

Please note that we may change the itinerary based on changes in airline schedules, natural disaster, availability of hotels, or other circumstances requiring such changes.

Refund Policy

Deposits and any payments are fully refundable, less a $250 per person cancellation fee, until 120 days prior to departure. After that date, refunds can be made only if the program is sold out and your place(s) can be resold, in which case a $1,000 per person cancellation fee will apply. After November 21, 2013, we cannot make any refunds unless we must cancel the trip because of circumstances outside our control (i.e., war, natural disaster). In that case, your payments are fully refundable. We recommend trip-cancellation insurance and, if the trip insurance doesn't include it, medical evacuation insurance.

Trip cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel the trip if we do not have at least 6 people participating or if circumstances beyond our control (i.e., war, quarantine, etc.) require it. In the case of cancellation by us, we will refund your entire payment. Please note that we will be watching the political situation in Egypt closely and monitoring the U.S. State Department alerts. While thousands of tourists are currently visiting Egypt, and we plan to join them in 2014, we will postpone or cancel the trip if the political situation deteriorates.

Travel Insurance

We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation after November 21, 2013. You usually need to buy this insurance within 2 weeks of making your deposit if you have an “existing condition” you need to have covered. Please check with your travel insurance carrier and read the small print in the policy carefully. If you do not have a preferred insurance company, you can read and compare policy details and costs on our insurance page. We have found these sites to be very useful, with good customer service.
